Service Technician (RF Electronics)

What you will do

• Evaluate, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify products returned from the field.
• Operate oscilloscopes, signal generators, meters, power supplies, service monitors, field-strength meters, RF power equipment, test fixtures, and software simulators.
• Respond to service requests and provide technical assistance.
• Inspect completed work and participate in visual inspection crosschecks.
• Maintain repair documentation, reports, equipment, parts inventory, and an orderly work area.
• Support Operations and escalate unresolved or potential issues affecting service, operations, or customers.

Requirements

• Associate degree focused on communications or computer electronics, or at least five years of technical, military, or on-the-job experience.
• General RF background and strong troubleshooting skills in digital and analog electronics.
• Experience with electronic test equipment and test fixtures.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, and technical work instructions.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Unrestricted ability to travel domestically and internationally, including possession of a passport.

Nice to have

• Experience with programmable industrial controllers.
• Experience in heavy industry or oil and gas.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
