Manager, Accounting Advisory - Manufacturing Industry Clients (Manufacturing): Delivering financial reporting, performance insights, and operational recommendations for manufacturing clients with an accent on technical accounting, benchmarking, forecasting, and process improvements. Focus on leading client engagements, coordinating US and offshore teams, and coaching accounting professionals while solving complex manufacturing accounting and reporting challenges.
Location: Remote anywhere in the United States; listed location: Billings, Montana. Travel up to 10%.
Salary: $107,000–$160,000 annual base pay, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do
- Lead client engagements supporting manufacturing organizations with financial reporting, performance insights, and operational recommendations.
- Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Prepare and analyze benchmarking data, key performance indicators, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and identify operational inefficiencies through client discovery sessions.
- Coordinate US and offshore engagement team members to maintain efficient workflows and consistent client delivery.
- Present findings to clients and coach staff and senior accountants on accounting and financial reporting matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 4–6 years of accounting experience, including exposure to manufacturing environments.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing accounting concepts, including WIP, inventory, job costing, and COGS.
- Strong financial reporting, analytical, communication, presentation, prioritization, and client relationship management skills.
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Fishbowl, or Katana, plus Microsoft Office.

- CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification.
