Senior Staff Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Flexible within the lower 48 states of the United States; travel required: 80%, with a minimum of three weeks per month. Relocation is not required.

Starting salary: $110,000–$170,000 per year, plus an annual bonus based on individual contribution and company performance.

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise and project management support across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Lead capital and maintenance projects from concept through planning, design, budgeting, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Develop engineering recommendations and create drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and engineering teams on diverse projects.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance in project designs and installations.
• Prepare reports and presentations using project data and outcome analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial paper, corrugating, or design engineering environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or a similar tool.
• Ability to travel extensively: 80%, with a minimum of three weeks per month.
• Organized, self-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
