What you will do

• Own and evolve compute infrastructure provisioning across bare metal, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Define and tune system-level behavior including CPU, memory, and storage scheduling.
• Design repeatable, auditable deployment workflows using infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Shape runtime characteristics such as workload placement and resource efficiency.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across I/O, network, and provisioning layers.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate implementation and refine production-ready infrastructure.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• Experience working at the systems or infrastructure layer, including OS behavior and runtime environments.
• Operating experience with Kubernetes, including scheduling and cluster lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Understanding of distributed system behavior and resource constraints.
• Experience with observability, profiling, or performance analysis at the system level.

Nice to have

• Exposure to query engines or analytical data platforms like Presto, Trino, or Spark.
• Background in big data infrastructure or data pipelines.
• Experience with eBPF, kernel performance tuning, or NUMA-aware hardware configuration.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tooling.
