TL;DR

Startup Market Lead (AI): Driving startup acquisition and ecosystem growth across North America with an accent on building relationships with founders, VCs, and accelerators. Focus on executing regional campaigns, increasing product adoption, and generating top-of-funnel pipeline for Notion's AI-powered workspace.

Location: Must be based in San Francisco or New York City. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $135,000 - $200,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Drive startup acquisition growth across NAMER through partnerships, events, and ecosystem initiatives.
  • Build and manage relationships with founders, VCs, accelerators, and startup communities.
  • Increase awareness and adoption of Notion within the regional startup ecosystem.
  • Execute regional campaigns to improve startup engagement and pipeline generation.
  • Partner with Marketing, Community, and Product teams to optimize acquisition efficiency.
  • Represent the company at strategic regional events and founder gatherings.

Requirements

  • Must be based in San Francisco or New York City.
  • Experience in startups, partnerships, business development, or growth-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of the NAMER startup ecosystem, particularly the U.S.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with founders, investors, and community leaders.
  • Data-oriented mindset with a focus on measurable business impact.
  • Ability to operate strategically and tactically in fast-moving environments.

Nice to have

  • Founder or startup operating experience.
  • Experience working with venture capital firms or accelerators.
  • Familiarity with B2B or product-led growth environments.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and modern startup workflows.
