What you will do
- Perform basic plant maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on production machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment breakdowns, including AC/DC motors and controls.
- Inspect and test machinery to ensure safety and performance before releasing to manufacturing.
- Replace electrical components, belts, and defective parts as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment for daily maintenance.
- Report faulty operations and unusual situations to supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship or relevant craft training program.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment such as meters and meggers.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a continuous manufacturing operation.
- Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 60 pounds consistently.
