What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance assigned by a supervisor.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, presses, drills, clamps, and other maintenance equipment safely.
• Read basic machine schematics and use measuring equipment to diagnose wear or damage in machine parts.
• Follow OSHA, machine-operation, safety, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Organize parts and materials, maintain records, and collaborate with supervisors and other departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to lift, move, push, pull, carry, and manipulate materials weighing up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds unaccompanied.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions while working effectively with other departments.
