Embroidery Quality Control Specialist

Location: Fully on-site in Santa Fe Springs, California, Monday through Friday during regular business hours

Pay: $24/hour with overtime opportunities available.

What you will do

• Review art proofs and sew-out samples from third-party decorators, verifying placement, sizing, colors, stitch quality, and trademark symbols before production.
• Set and enforce embroidery quality standards and manage relationships with external decorator partners.
• Inspect production runs and finished shipments, identifying defects such as loose threads, puckering, seam issues, color inaccuracies, and placement errors.
• Track approvals, rejections, rework, and defect trends; prepare monthly quality reports and escalate issues to operations management.
• Conduct daily audits, identify root causes, and collaborate with decorators on corrective action plans.
• Maintain photographic audit records and coordinate with Order Management on rush orders, approval changes, and delivery risks.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in embroidery production, quality control, or decoration operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of embroidery standards, including stitch quality, density, color accuracy, and placement.
• Proficiency with embroidery software such as Wilcom, Tajima, Hatch, or similar tools.
• Experience setting and enforcing quality standards, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Cadence, Printavo, Google Sheets, and photography documentation systems.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work around machinery noise, ink, and chemicals with provided PPE.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of experience in embroidery or decoration quality, production, or leadership.
• Experience with heat transfer, sew-on labels, or screen printing.
• Familiarity with Madera thread colors and color-matching workflows.
• Quality assurance certification.
