What you will do

• Shape technical solutions from early product discovery through to delivery.
• Build proof of concepts, prototypes, and production experiments to validate ideas.
• Work alongside engineering teams in the Manchester office to solve complex technical challenges.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud architectures.
• Champion AI-first thinking across products and internal engineering practices.
• Advise stakeholders on technical options, trade-offs, and business impact.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with experience delivering production systems.
• Deep knowledge of modern software architecture and cloud-native design.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience building APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
• Ability to build prototypes and technical proof of concepts.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance technical excellence against business value.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Background in SaaS, media, martech, or digital products.
• Experience with AI-enabled products and engineering workflows.
