What you will do

• Design large-scale enterprise solutions spanning APIs, integrations, data flows, and cloud infrastructure.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into clear, documented architectures that engineering teams can implement.
• Present and defend designs with enterprise architects, programme leaders, business owners, and other client stakeholders.
• Work through architecture review boards, security reviews, integration standards, and other client governance processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers in an Agile delivery model.
• Develop reusable architecture standards, patterns, and ways of working while balancing long-term design with pragmatic delivery.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Solutions Architect on large-scale enterprise platforms, taking designs from concept through production.
• Consultancy or comparable client-facing delivery experience across multiple engagements or programmes.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, API design, integration architecture, data processing, data warehousing, SQL, NoSQL, and data pipelines.
• Experience architecting cloud-native platforms on a major public cloud and understanding containerised, orchestrated deployments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Software engineering background with strong written and verbal communication and the ability to produce structured design documentation.
• Experience managing competing stakeholder priorities and making trade-offs across cost, risk, delivery speed, and maintainability.

Nice to have

• Experience with decisioning, next-best-action, personalisation, martech, or commercial platforms.
• Telecommunications experience or work in similarly large, regulated enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with the JVM ecosystem, event-driven architectures, pricing, product catalogue, or commercial configuration systems.
• Experience applying machine learning outputs in real-time customer-facing systems or working with agentic solutions.
