What you will do
- Develop and implement safety, security, and environmental compliance programs.
- Manage the site's Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program and risk assessment systems.
- Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Support capital projects to improve safety and environmental performance.
- Participate in the deployment of Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in safety or environmental management in an industrial setting (or 5+ years without a degree).
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays to support a 24/7 operation.
- Proven track record of implementing effective EH&S programs.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding food processing.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with noise and temperature variations.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
- Supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies.
