TL;DR
Customer Service Officer (Medical Devices): Managing end-to-end order processing and logistics coordination for medical devices with an accent on SAP transactions, import/export documentation, and regulatory compliance. Focus on coordinating shipments, customs clearance, inventory availability, and communication across sales, supply chain, distributors, and logistics providers.

Location: Seoul, South Korea; site-based with 1–2 days of work from home

What you will do

  • Receive, validate, and process customer sales orders in SAP, ensuring accurate pricing, product codes, and delivery requirements.
  • Provide order-status updates and resolve queries or discrepancies for sales teams, distributors, and customers.
  • Coordinate air, sea, and land shipments with freight forwarders, logistics providers, and 3PL partners.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate import/export procedures, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
  • Generate purchase orders, coordinate stock availability, and manage delivery timelines with factories and local vendors.
  • Support regulatory documentation, audits, letters of credit, and continuous improvement initiatives for order and logistics workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in customer service, order management, and logistics operations, including import/export handling.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, preferably SAP SD/MM, for order processing, logistics coordination, inventory transactions, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of import/export processes, shipping documentation, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements.
  • English proficiency is required, and Korean language capability is required for local stakeholder coordination.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, customer-service orientation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with Korea import/export regulations and local customs procedures.
  • Experience using AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.
