What you will do

• Generate and pitch original sports story ideas, conducting research and interviews.
• Report, write, shoot, and edit sports stories for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
• Produce sportscasts, segments, and shows under tight deadlines.
• Cover live sporting events and breaking sports news with urgency and accuracy.
• Create consistent digital and social content to expand audience engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with athletes, teams, and key community sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in news, sports reporting, MMJ work, or production.
• Proven ability to write, shoot, edit, and produce content independently.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to work at the NBC10 Philadelphia station.
• Flexibility to work a schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience producing sportscasts or newsroom content under deadline pressure.
