Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

What you will do

• Deliver breaking news and authoritative coverage of Colorado’s lone Power 4 football program.
• Write deep, enterprising features that move beyond superficial storylines.
• Develop a unique voice and build strong relationships with sources, boosters, and program standouts.
• Analyze audience needs and internal metrics to create optimized content.
• Cover other CU sports during the football offseason.
• Balance long-term investigative projects with the need for quick-turn news stories.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Longmont, Colorado.
• At least two years of relevant experience at a media company.
• Comprehensive knowledge of college football, the Big 12, and Colorado football.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel for away games and work shift hours outside normal business hours.
• Thorough knowledge of the journalistic process.
