What you will do

• Create live segments with reporters and guests during breaking news coverage.
• Write and produce taped news packages for Morning Joe, including script writing and video selection.
• Monitor and turn around video, graphics, and information under deadline pressure.
• Assist the production team in the control room during breaking news situations.
• Assemble taped hours compiled from existing MS NOW shows and deliver to master control.
• Monitor and create content for social media platforms.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• At least 5 years of experience in journalism (cable, network, or digital).
• Demonstrated experience producing taped news packages or edit-driven segments.
• Strong writing skills and deep knowledge of American politics.
• Ability to work overnight hours on a 4-day, 10-hour schedule.
