Associate Producer, News Desk

Location: Hybrid position based at CNBC Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, with office attendance a minimum of three days per week. Early and late shifts may be required.

Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Produce stories for CNBC’s daily live Business Day programs and prepare elements for breaking news coverage.
• Write and produce daily general news, business news, and financial news updates.
• Create written content and visual elements, including onscreen graphics, soundbites, video, and edited packages.
• Monitor breaking news, research business and financial developments, and learn to read quarterly reports and analyst notes.
• Collaborate with anchors, reporters, show teams, senior managers, network operations, and CNBC’s global correspondents.
• Produce updates for Amazon Alexa and Google Home and contribute to CNBC.com and social media when requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and working knowledge of financial, business, political, and hard news content.
• At least two years of television production experience, including internships or college station experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and newsroom systems, including iNews.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a chaotic breaking news environment.
