TL;DR

Associate Director Business Development (Drug Discovery): Driving sales growth and penetrating key accounts within the European early-stage biotech and investment ecosystem with an accent on strategic key account management and VC engagement. Focus on orchestrating lead generation strategies, leading contract negotiations, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver commercial objectives.

What you will do

  • Execute the European business development strategy for Discovery Services in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Design and lead engagement programs with venture capital firms, incubators, and accelerators to establish the company as a preferred partner.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic key accounts across Europe to maximize client retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth.
  • Orchestrate lead generation and marketing initiatives to build a robust European pipeline.
  • Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations, transitioning new opportunities to project initiation.
  • Analyze and report European BD performance metrics and market intelligence to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • PhD in a chemistry or biology discipline.
  • 9-12 years of relevant industry experience in drug discovery.
  • Demonstrated track record of independently closing significant BD opportunities and owning regional commercial strategies.
  • Proven experience in strategic key account management and multi-stakeholder account planning.
  • Must be based in Europe.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with Salesforce and MS Office Products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel).
