TL;DR
Contracts Administration Manager (Construction): Managing contract strategies, procurement, contractor obligations, payment certification, cost reporting, and close-out for large-scale construction projects in Belgium with an accent on contractual compliance, documentation, and commercial control. Focus on coordinating Contract Administrators, overseeing contractor performance, resolving final accounts, and issuing completion and release documentation.

What you will do

  • Develop contract strategy inputs aligned with client requirements, head contracts, scopes of service, contract conditions, and design deliverables.
  • Support procurement and tendering of construction work packages and assign packages to Contract Administrators through award.
  • Ensure contracts are executed before construction begins and administered according to project procedures, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate contractor obligations, insurance records, site work instructions, variation orders, payment certificates, and monthly commercial meetings.
  • Oversee monthly cost reporting, final account agreement, practical and final completion certification, and contractor releases.
  • Maintain audit-ready records and ensure completed project documentation is securely archived.

Requirements

  • Degree-level education; additional professional qualifications are desirable.
  • At least 10 years of experience in contract administration.
  • Experience contributing to contractual strategies and project implementation for large-scale projects.
  • Experience across multiple projects in life sciences, food, mission-critical, or data-centre environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational, and deadline-management skills.
  • Good knowledge of English and Dutch is required.
