Senior Staff Mechanical Design Engineer - Precision Automation Machine Design

Location: Samut Prakan, Thailand; the role supports collaboration across time zones with U.S.-based engineering partners and periodic evening meetings.

What you will do

• Architect and design advanced HGA process equipment based on requirements from SLA, adhesive dispense, TIC, and related process domains.
• Develop bench-level and prototype tooling for experimentation, process learning, and concept validation.
• Define tool architectures and critical subsystems, including fixturing, alignment, motion, dispense and placement, curing, and environmental control.
• Integrate automation, inspection, and process control capabilities with controls, software, and vision engineers.
• Work with internal equipment teams and external suppliers to build and refine first-of-kind tools.
• Deliver validated tooling and documentation supporting repeatability, precision, robustness, scalability, and downstream manufacturing deployment.

Requirements

• Background in mechanical engineering, equipment design, automation development, precision tools, or manufacturing systems.
• Experience with tool design, fixture design, or equipment development.
• Familiarity with motion systems, alignment, vision, controls, or multidisciplinary automation systems.
• Understanding of precision, repeatability, process control, and manufacturing requirements.
• Experience with CAD tools, tolerance analysis, and design-for-manufacturability methods.
• Good written and spoken English is required for collaboration across global and cross-functional teams.

• Exposure to assembly, adhesive dispensing, or microscale processes.
