What you will do

• Develop and oversee platforms for property inspections, energy audits, and building system maintenance.
• Establish and maintain operational procedures for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems.
• Drive compliance with EPA, OSHA, and ADA regulations across regional markets.
• Collaborate with market leadership to evaluate engineering staff, conduct manpower studies, and manage career development tracks.
• Oversee capital planning for infrastructure assets and provide value-engineering recommendations.
• Coordinate operational seminars and provide technical guidance for building staff and integrated design teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience with significant supervisory responsibility in a commercial property setting.
• Must be based in or able to work in Chicago, Illinois.
• Vocational/Technical training certificate or relevant trade license (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including boilers, chillers, and building automation.
• Proven ability to drive compliance programs and manage multi-year capital planning.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
