What you will do

• Lead all phases of commissioning for new construction, renovations, and existing facilities including equipment startup and functional performance testing.
• Verify building systems meet owner requirements and comply with national codes such as ASHRAE and NFPA.
• Identify and resolve system deficiencies, managing turnover documentation and testing procedures.
• Serve as primary liaison among clients, contractors, and design engineers to ensure clear communication and operational expectations.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans aligned with project schedules and quality goals.
• Maintain a safety-first approach throughout all commissioning activities.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required with willingness to travel up to 50% for field assignments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive commissioning or facility systems validation experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, mechanical/HVAC, life safety, and low-voltage controls.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, NFPA codes, and TAB processes.

Nice to have

• Commissioning certifications such as CxA, CCP, CBCP.
• Experience with Integrated Systems Testing and performance validation in mission-critical environments.
• Proactive leadership style to identify design or installation flaws early.
