Electrification Site Solution Development Engineer (Electrification)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Domestic travel is 15%–25%, with potential international travel.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop customer- and site-facing electrification solutions from requirements analysis through engineering implementation.
• Translate customer and site requirements into system- and component-level specifications, interface definitions, and design solutions.
• Support system integration, prototype validation, testing, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with system, electrical, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams on design reviews and technical decisions.
• Support technology selection, supplier evaluation, component validation, and assessments of cost, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Prepare solution descriptions, design documentation, and test reports while monitoring electrification and energy-system technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Ability to perform solution design, validation, structured technical analysis, and problem solving.
• Experience or familiarity with electrification, energy systems, system integration, interface definition, or application-scenario testing.
• Experience with prototype development, onsite validation, system debugging, supplier collaboration, or cross-regional projects.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation, design reviews, test validation, quality, continuous improvement, or cost-control methods.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Technical knowledge of DC battery blocks, ESS inverters, BEM, chargers, fuel cells, site controls, switchgear, reciprocating gensets, or turbines.
• Experience integrating electrification components with balance-of-site systems.
• Ability to generate and interpret power, communications, and control site schematics.
• Technical project leadership as a subject-matter expert.
