What you will do

• Provide subject matter expertise in disaster recovery, homebuyer support, and affordable housing program design.
• Inform program underwriting processes and coordinate project stakeholders, including clients and developers.
• Ensure compliance with Federal regulations such as CDBG-DR and Duplication of Benefits.
• Draft housing program procedures, policies, and implementation tools.
• Apply income restrictions and analyze homebuyer debt ratios to qualify homeowners for program assistance.
• Collaborate with senior staff and subcontractors to develop and implement recovery and mitigation programs.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in affordable housing development (rental and/or homeownership).
• 3+ years of hands-on knowledge of CDBG/CDBG-DR programs and federal housing regulations.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for work needs.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Planning, Public Policy, Government, or Finance.
• Experience working in a consulting firm or public agency.
• Background in delivering training and technical assistance to government agencies.
• Experience with business development or proposal writing.
