What you will do

• Serve as the highest underwriting authority for the Life business, defining philosophy and governance.
• Champion the implementation of innovative underwriting methodologies, including accelerated and automated solutions.
• Partner with Product, Distribution, and Compliance teams to execute underwriting strategies that support growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing underwriting organization.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in underwriting efficiency, consistency, and decision quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressively responsible Life Insurance underwriting experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing underwriting teams or operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing underwriting guidelines and risk selection practices.
• Significant experience with accelerated and automated underwriting methodologies.
• Strong understanding of mortality management and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
