Production Shift Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Fridley, Minnesota, USA; on-site. Schedule: 12-hour night shift, 6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m., on a 2-2-3 schedule. Day-shift training is required.

Salary: $85,000+ per year, based on experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead a 12-hour night-shift team and model safety-first behaviors.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Coach employees on hazard recognition, 5S, housekeeping, and operational discipline.
• Drive quality, cost, and delivery performance across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and mentor shift employees through feedback and training.
• Monitor shift performance using data and management systems while coordinating workflow across shifts and functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of manufacturing experience in shift-based operations.
• 1–3 years of people leadership experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Hands-on experience with continuous improvement tools such as 5S and DMAIC.
