What you will do

• Provide engineering leadership for chemical and gas systems supporting safety, reliability, quality, and cost objectives.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for vacuum pumps, abatement systems, and related Subfab support equipment.
• Develop standard operating procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and conduct root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with technicians, internal customers, and multidisciplinary teams on system design and optimization.
• Prepare scopes of work and bid proposals, review project documentation, and oversee equipment acceptance after commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards for hazardous process gases, effluent treatment, and emissions control in semiconductor manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience in vacuum system analysis, abatement integration, equipment installation and qualification, or SPC-based equipment health monitoring.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with chemical compatibility assessments for corrosive or pyrophoric chemistries and familiarity with SEMI standards.
• Experience designing, operating, and maintaining dry-pump, turbomolecular, or Roots blower vacuum systems.
• Experience with thermal, wet, or plasma-based abatement systems and related support equipment.
• Experience with startup, commissioning, and ownership of facilities systems.
