Manager Facilities Engineering - Electrical (Semiconductor)

Location: Malta, New York, United States; onsite role with domestic and international travel as needed, less than 5% annually.

Salary: $118,000–$210,000 per year; exact salary depends on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Manage and support facility electrical systems for wafer fabrication operations, including ongoing operations, design, construction, and startup.
• Provide technical direction to engineers, technicians, contractors, and facility teams supporting electrical system operations and construction.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve electrical systems while prioritizing electrical hardening projects.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and engineering teams to ensure site specifications, operational requirements, maintainability, and system startups meet fab needs.
• Implement cost controls while sustaining and improving operational systems.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, including experience as a Field Electrical Engineer, Systems Electrical Engineer, and/or Electrical Manager in the semiconductor or related industry or role.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, less than 5% annually.
• Experience writing and reviewing operating procedures.
• Ability to write and review scopes of work integrating multiple disciplines.
• Ability to oversee training development and implementation.
• Ability to coordinate and direct project teams, electrical engineers, electrical technicians, and contractors.
• English fluency in written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a global matrixed team or environment.
• 10 years of experience managing medium- to large-sized electrical projects and H/M/L voltage systems.
• 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Expertise in large project management software such as Microsoft Project.
