What you will do
- Provide expert-level technical support via phone, email, and chat for internal and external customers.
- Mentor and support junior technicians, assigning tasks and providing guidance on complex escalations.
- Monitor network alerts and proactively manage incident response and service requests.
- Coordinate maintenance and installation activities while ensuring adherence to department procedures.
- Act as a subject matter expert for server, network, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate records in the company database.
Requirements
- Must reside within 50 miles of Anchorage, Alaska.
- Minimum of five years of combined experience in technical customer service, helpdesk, or LAN/WAN networking.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Advanced understanding of Information Technology and mainstream operating systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical activities to customers.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by a 24/7 environment.
Nice to have
- Associate degree in telecommunications, computer science, or electronics.
- Certifications such as Microsoft, ITIL, CompTIA, or Cisco.
- Experience with video conferencing technology and wireless access point troubleshooting.
