What you will do

• Own end-to-end troubleshooting of LAN connectivity, firewall policy, and load balancer issues; coordinate resolution with customers and internal teams.
• Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective action planning; participate in on-call rotation using the Sun Model schedule.
• Lead network change request review and execution within the data-center fabric domain, ensuring change management and risk mitigation.
• Drive LAN/data-center fabric projects and architecture using Cisco Nexus switching, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and NDFC fabric management with VXLAN/EVPN and Kubernetes networking (Calico).
• Build reliability and observability by defining and reporting operational/performance metrics (Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds) and SLI/SLO.
• Implement automation and infrastructure provisioning/configuration using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and CI/CD pipelines; maintain runbooks, topology diagrams, and SOPs.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–10 years experience in medium-to-large networks, IP routing/switching, and security principles in a production SaaS or enterprise environment, including technical subject matter expert experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (security policy design, Panorama management, Global Protect VPN, threat prevention).
• Advanced hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, iRules, SSL offloading, application delivery).
• Expert knowledge of Cisco Nexus (9k/7k/5k/2k), NX-OS, and NDFC, including VXLAN/EVPN fabric deployments; hands-on Cisco IOS required.
• Extensive experience with SDN including OpenStack Neutron and Calico (Kubernetes).
• Proven automation experience using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and CI/CD pipelines, plus strong knowledge of LAN protocols (VXLAN, EVPN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, STP/RSTP) and monitoring/observability (SolarWinds, Prometheus, Grafana, NetFlow, SNMP, packet brokers).
