Field Technology Specialist (Security Systems)

Location: Champlain, NY, USA; approximately 85% travel required

Salary: $25.00–$35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain computer and camera surveillance systems across an assigned geographic region.
• Manage computers, data networks, digital video cameras, recorders, power supplies, and fiber-optic systems.
• Install, update, and maintain hardware and software.
• Track assets and maintain detailed service and maintenance records.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools.
• Calibrate and adjust electronic equipment to required specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of computers, data networks, digital video systems, fiber optics, basic electronics, and telecommunications systems.
• Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, chips, hardware, software applications, machines, and tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government-issued security clearances.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel approximately 85% of the time.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience as a satellite, telecommunications, or computer hardware technician.
