Immunology Senior Research Scientist (Single-Cell Genomics)

Location: Seattle, WA, United States; on-site five days per week

Salary: $124,200–$186,400 per year, plus annual bonus and equity awards

What you will do

• Design, execute, optimize, and interpret single-cell genomics and multi-omics workflows using 10x Genomics and related platforms.
• Process primary tissue samples and cell-based systems, including dissociation, isolation, enrichment, counting, and viability assessment.
• Generate and quality-control libraries for transcriptomic, epigenomic, multiome, CITE-seq, and immune-profiling applications.
• Troubleshoot sample quality, library complexity, cell recovery, sequencing performance, and assay reproducibility.
• Establish SOPs, assay documentation, and experimental best practices while benchmarking emerging single-cell methods.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics, computational biology, flow cytometry, cell sorting, core facility, and external vendor teams to support translational research and biomarker development.

Requirements

• PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years; or a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years.
• Deep hands-on expertise in single-cell genomics workflows, particularly 10x Genomics platforms.
• Strong wet-lab experience in NGS library preparation, molecular biology, and complex sample processing.
• Ability to independently design, execute, troubleshoot, and optimize technically sophisticated experiments.
• Strong attention to experimental rigor, data quality, documentation, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to work on-site in Seattle five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with downstream computational analysis of single-cell datasets.
• Experience with emerging multi-omics modalities such as multiome and CITE-seq.
• Familiarity with flow cytometry and cell sorting activities.
