What you will do

  • Design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro and ex vivo studies of rare disease mechanisms and therapeutic hypotheses.
  • Investigate Thyroid Eye Disease biology, including immune dysregulation, fibroblast activation, tissue remodeling, and inflammatory signaling.
  • Generate data supporting target identification, validation, progression, and portfolio decisions.
  • Integrate experimental results with literature, human genetics, clinical observations, and other biological datasets.
  • Apply computational and data analysis tools to identify trends and prioritize therapeutic targets.
  • Collaborate with disease biologists, computational scientists, translational researchers, academic partners, and scientific experts; present findings to project and governance teams.

Requirements

  • PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline; alternatively, a master’s degree with 2 years of scientific research experience or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience.
  • Experience with fibroblast biology, tissue remodeling, fibrosis, stromal cell biology, extracellular matrix biology, or related disease mechanisms.
  • Expertise in cell-based, molecular, and biochemical assays, including work with primary human cells, tissue-derived cultures, organoids, or advanced in vitro disease models.
  • Experience with transcriptomic, proteomic, imaging, or other data-rich approaches and complex biological datasets.
  • Ability to integrate experimental findings with scientific literature, human genetics, omics, or clinical datasets.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, scientific rigor, adaptability, and knowledge-sharing skills.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled scientific tools, computational workflows, image analysis, or advanced data analytics.
  • Experience in highly collaborative and matrixed research environments.
