TL;DR
Network Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales): Providing technical systems engineering support for enterprise and financial service customers with an accent on network architectural reviews, solution design, and proof-of-concept testing. Focus on leaf-spine architecture, network automation, and aligning Arista’s networking solutions with complex client business requirements.
Location: Must be based in the NYC Metro area
Salary: $112,000 – $160,000

What you will do
- Conduct product presentations on data center, campus, and security networking solutions.
- Perform network architectural reviews and suggest improvement plans for customer environments.
- Collaborate with account managers to strategize sales processes and propose optimal network designs.
- Engage customers in proof-of-concept testing and validate functional performance.
- Act as a technical interface between customers, TAC, and development teams during escalations.
- Author white papers and represent the company at industry events.
Requirements
- Must be local to the NYC area
- BS/CS/CE technical degree
- 5+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience
- Expert knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, EVPN, and VxLAN
- Recent experience with leaf-spine architecture design
- Demonstrated experience in a pre-sales or network consulting role
Nice to have
- Network Industry Certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE)
- Experience with SDN and Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
- Proficiency in network automation using Python and Ansible
