TL;DR

People Ops & Culture Associate (HR Operations): Managing the operational backbone of the People function, including HRIS administration, onboarding, benefits, and office culture initiatives. Focus on building scalable infrastructure, automating manual workflows, and ensuring data integrity in a high-growth startup environment.

Location: Must be based in New York, NY. This is an in-person role 4 days a week, with 1 floating day.

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 + equity + benefits.

What you will do

  • Own HRIS administration, data integrity, and system configuration.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Administer health benefits, 401(k), and leave programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate office operations, team events, and employee milestone celebrations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and workflow automation.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of HR/People Ops experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Hands-on HRIS experience with system administration and reporting.
  • Must be based in New York, NY and able to work from the office 4 days per week.
  • Experience with benefits administration and employment law compliance.
  • Curiosity and active use of AI tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Lattice performance cycle administration.
  • Background in coordinating office logistics and vendor management.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process automation.
