Salary: $125,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

  • Own the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and performance management.
  • Manage payroll administration for both salaried and hourly employees.
  • Lead benefits evaluation, annual renewals, and day-to-day administration.
  • Build and maintain scalable timekeeping, attendance, and wage-and-hour processes for manufacturing staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, manager coaching, and HR compliance.
  • Partner with EHS and Compliance teams on safety training, workers' compensation, and injury reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, including senior-level roles at high-growth companies.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and California employment law.
  • Hands-on experience managing payroll for non-exempt and hourly workforces.
  • Proven ability to own and implement HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Exceptional discretion and judgment in handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience as the first or early HR hire at a Series A–C company.
  • Experience supporting a scaling manufacturing or warehouse workforce.
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP certification.
