What you will do

• Build and own the company's competitive intelligence strategy and operating model from the ground up.
• Develop comprehensive competitive assessments, including feature matrices, pricing analyses, and market landscape reviews.
• Create executive-ready insights that influence product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and investment decisions.
• Establish repeatable processes for collecting, validating, and distributing competitive intelligence across the organization.
• Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to sharpen positioning, messaging, and objection handling.
• Support executive leadership with board-ready competitive analyses and market briefings.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, strategy consulting, or product strategy.
• Proven track record of building a competitive intelligence function from scratch.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software, AI platforms, SaaS, or cloud technologies.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to distill complex markets into clear frameworks.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and capable of working from San Francisco or New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI, machine learning, foundation models, or developer platforms.
• Background in management consulting or strategic planning.
• Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies, win/loss programs, and competitive positioning frameworks.
• Experience supporting enterprise sales organizations with battlecards and competitive enablement.
