Salary: $160,000 - $220,000

What you will do
- Own ARP4754A-compliant requirements at system, subsystem, and component levels across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
- Author requirements for propulsion hardware and embedded software, including fault detection logic and control state machine behavior.
- Lead cross-functional engineering problem review forums and triage system-level issues for safety impact and resolution.
- Manage the flight-critical open-issue portfolio to drive closure for flight readiness and certification milestones.
- Coordinate with hardware, firmware, and controls teams on design reviews, FMEA, and powertrain integration.
- Support airworthiness and certification efforts by defining means of compliance and maintaining verification traceability.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering required (MS preferred).
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience on aviation-certified or certification-bound programs.
- Direct, hands-on ownership of ARP4754A or equivalent certification compliance workstreams.
- Deep working knowledge of DO-178C and/or DO-254 standards.
- Experience managing large requirements baselines in tools like Polarion, DOORS, or Jama.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; is unable to provide visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with eVTOL, Part 23, or Part 33 type certification programs.
- Systems-level familiarity with electric propulsion, power electronics, and motor control.
- HIL/SIL verification experience and DER coordination.
