Software Engineer/Team Lead (AI): Leading the development of code intelligence products and agentic workflows with an accent on large-scale code transformation and AI-driven automation. Focus on setting technical direction, architecting high-stakes developer tools, and mentoring a globally distributed engineering team.

Location: Remote (Global). Preference for candidates in Europe or East Coast USA. Working hours must overlap with CEST for at least 20 hours/week.

Compensation: $96,000 – $240,000 USD (based on location zone).

What you will do

• Set technical and product direction for the Code Plane team, driving the roadmap from issue to shipped.
• Build and maintain products that use AI and products for AI, including Batch Changes and Agentic Batch Changes.
• Translate customer needs into concrete technical plans and architectural decisions.
• Mentor teammates and foster a high-trust, collaborative, async-first engineering culture.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Customer Engineering to turn customer pain into shipped features.
• Participate in on-call support rotations to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong technical background with experience providing guidance on architecture, code quality, and trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience using and reasoning about coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).
• Experience shipping products consumed by or built for AI agents.
• Proven experience partnering with Product and Design to take features from idea to shipped.
• Ability to work in a globally distributed remote team with async-first communication.

Nice to have

• Fluency with Go, TypeScript/React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience as a Team or Tech Lead on a software engineering team.
• Background in developer tools, code intelligence, or large-scale refactoring products.
• Experience designing and shipping CLIs for human and agent use.
