Salary: $188,000–$235,000 CAD

What you will do

• Drive technical strategy and domain-level roadmap prioritization for the Core Transfer Experience.
• Lead architecture and delivery of both customer-facing transfer experiences and foundational platform capabilities.
• Contribute directly to the codebase through hands-on analysis, code reviews, and direct contributions.
• Advance engineering standards for reliability, observability, security, and quality across the organization.
• Mentor SDEs and champion the effective use of AI tools to increase team velocity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Analytics to resolve scaling, latency, and data quality issues.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a staff-level role.
• Advanced expertise in Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity from the Burnaby office.
