Senior Software Developer - Ad Tech (AdTech)

Location: Canada; remote

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Own the architecture, design, development, and evolution of high-throughput, low-latency advertising systems.
• Set technical direction and make foundational architecture decisions across the advertising organization.
• Resolve complex real-time bidding bottlenecks, data synchronization failures, and platform integration issues.
• Partner with advertising product owners to shape solutions, explain trade-offs, and propose alternatives.
• Mentor developers and establish standards for code review, documentation, and engineering excellence.
• Advise leadership on technical strategy, privacy, and data-handling frameworks.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience across AdTech, including OpenRTB, Prebid, server-side and header bidding, bidstream enrichment, ad decisioning, SSP/DSP partners, and video/CTV delivery.
• Experience architecting data pipelines and real-time systems at scale, including latency and throughput trade-offs across billions of daily requests.
• Strong programming and software architecture fundamentals across multiple languages and platforms.
• Ability to identify systemic weaknesses, simplify unfamiliar architectures, and anticipate technical and regulatory changes.
• Experience collaborating with product stakeholders and advising technical leadership.
