Controls & Automation Lead (Datacenter)

Location: Must be based in the US

Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 USD

What you will do

• Integrate BMS, SCADA, and BAS with DCIM and operational platforms, managing graphics, point databases, and alarm systems.
• Lead control-system commissioning and integration-readiness assessments to verify point mapping and logic behavior.
• Design and validate automation sequences for power management, environmental control, and IT load response.
• Build and maintain REST API integrations between operational platforms with robust monitoring and error handling.
• Govern OT security posture, including vulnerability management and network segmentation.
• Maintain as-built documentation and coordinate integration designs with the Enterprise SI Architect.

Requirements

• 10–14+ years of experience in control systems, BMS/SCADA integration, or OT engineering within critical infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in BMS platforms such as Siemens Desigo, Schneider EcoStruxure, Johnson Controls Metasys, or Tridium Niagara.
• Strong proficiency in REST API integration and platform connectivity using Python or Node.js.
• Fluency in open protocols including BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, OPC-UA, and SNMP.
• Must be based in the US to fulfill the requirements of this role.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CAP, CCST, or CDCE.
• Experience with platforms like Sunbird, NetBox, ServiceNow, Palantir Foundry, or Attune.
