Salary: $236,000 – $278,000

What you will do

• Lead the strategy and execution of the Alpaca design system to scale with AI-driven product needs.
• Extend the system to support agent chat and canvas experiences that adapt to runtime or model context.
• Partner with product designers and engineers to define, document, and ship new components and patterns.
• Establish governance models and quality standards for both static and AI-native product surfaces.
• Drive system adoption through education, tooling, and proactive cross-functional partnership.
• Mentor senior designers on systems thinking, component architecture, and inclusive design practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a product designer, with deep expertise in design systems and B2B SaaS.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
• Mastery of Figma, including variants, auto-layout, and design tokens.
• Strong visual design foundation with expertise in typography, spacing, and accessibility principles.
• Experience collaborating closely with front-end engineers and fluency in front-end code.
• Ability to influence without authority and communicate complex system-level tradeoffs.
