What you will do

• Own end-to-end design for the Underwriting module, from problem framing and research to validation and implementation.
• Conduct user interviews and usability testing to inform product strategy and validate design decisions.
• Create user flows, diagrams, and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
• Develop and iterate on coded prototypes within shared repositories alongside engineering.
• Partner with product managers to define problems and establish success criteria in ambiguous environments.
• Collaborate with engineering to maintain design integrity while navigating technical constraints.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• 3–5 years of product design experience, preferably in fintech, insurance, or enterprise B2B.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows.
• Hands-on experience building or iterating on designs in an IDE or code-based environment (e.g., Cursor, VS Code).
• Ability to read and navigate coded prototypes and collaborate in engineering repositories.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic or multi-step AI workflows.
• Familiarity with design-system-to-code pipelines.
• Background in designing internal tools, ops platforms, or data-heavy workbench experiences.
• Exposure to AI-assisted product features like copilots or intelligent document review.
