TL;DR

Requirements Lead (Agile): Leading Agile software development efforts for complex government business systems with an accent on requirements elicitation, backlog refinement, and design specification. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value software enhancements while ensuring alignment with business intent and system architecture.

Location: Must be based in the Washington, DC/DMV area. This position is currently remote, but onsite support at a government or customer location may be required as needed.

Salary: $115,000 - $145,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Agile requirements lifecycle, including elicitation, backlog refinement, and user story definition.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and technical leads to clarify functional behavior and user experience.
• Own and maintain key Agile artifacts in Jira and Confluence, including design specifications and decision logs.
• Prioritize and sequence enhancement work in partnership with Product Owners and project management.
• Perform test planning and verification activities to validate expected behavior against acceptance criteria.
• Deliver demonstrations of new capabilities to customers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required (no visa sponsorship).
• Must be based in the Washington, DC/DMV area and willing to support onsite requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting software applications or working with software development teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts and practices.
• Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, computer science, or related discipline (or 7+ years of relevant experience).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) finance, contracting, acquisition, and logistics systems.
• Proficiency with Qlik, MS Project, and AI/Agentic tooling.
