Salary: $198,000 - $250,000

What you will do

• Design and build robust dbt models serving as the foundation for analytics, machine learning, and customer-facing data products.
• Own and evolve the semantic layer to define metrics, dimensions, and business logic for internal and agentic tooling.
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science to ensure the Snowflake data warehouse is performant and well-structured.
• Establish and champion best practices for data modeling, testing, documentation, and code review.
• Collaborate with product and client-facing teams to deliver native warehouse data solutions.
• Build observability and governance frameworks to maintain data quality at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related role.
• Strong command of dbt and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Experience building or maintaining a semantic or metrics layer.
• Must be local to New York City and able to work in-office Tuesday-Thursday.
• Strong understanding of data modeling fundamentals and data governance.

Nice to have

• Experience with native warehouse data delivery or data sharing patterns.
• Background in fintech, financial services, or regulated industries.
• Exposure to agentic or LLM-based workflows.
• Experience with BI tooling like Looker or Tableau.
