Salary: $90,000 - $130,000

What you will do

• Produce breaking news and enterprise stories for broadcast, digital, audio, and social platforms.
• Conduct research, perform interviews, write scripts, and oversee field production and editing.
• Coordinate coverage across Washington, DC, including Capitol Hill, the White House, and federal agencies.
• Manage segment production from pitch to air, including booking feeds and collecting video assets.
• Collaborate with reporters and field crews to plan live remote locations and day-of-air hits.
• Create chyron and graphic elements to support live segments in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a segment or field producer in a live television environment.
• Demonstrated editorial judgment, research, and writing skills.
• Deep understanding of the impact of politics on business and the global economy.
• Must be willing to travel on short notice.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative newsroom.

Nice to have

• Experience covering political or business policy issues.
• Proficiency with basic field camera operation (DV, DSLR).
• Experience with Avid iNews and content management systems.
• Prior experience writing or reporting for digital platforms.
