What you will do

• Lead the complete video editing workflow in Descript, including multi-camera assembly and visual pacing.
• Produce polished audio using Pro Tools, performing detailed cleanup, leveling, and noise reduction.
• Direct host video intros and create YouTube-optimized assets such as thumbnails, captions, and on-screen text.
• Own the YouTube publishing workflow, including metadata management, scheduling, and quality control.
• Conduct research and prepare guest materials to support nuanced, philosophical conversations.
• Collaborate with social and audience teams to create promotional clips and assets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience producing high-quality video and audio content for longform, interview-driven shows.
• 5+ years of audio engineering experience in podcast production or radio.
• Expertise in Descript for both video and audio editing.
• Solid proficiency in Pro Tools for advanced audio mixing and Premiere for video edits.
• Substantial experience with YouTube publishing best practices and performance optimization.
• Location: Must be based in New York City or Washington DC.
