What you will do

• Edit video content for linear newscasts and digital platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Partner with the Executive Producer to ensure alignment across all distribution platforms.
• Execute deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom environment.
• Handle long-form editing and special projects for both linear and social media.
• Collaborate with photographers, reporters, and producers to optimize video quality.
• Train other editors on editing techniques and maintain NBC news standards.

Requirements

• 1+ year of digital post-production experience using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• 1+ year of experience working within a professional newsroom environment.
• Proficiency in digital workflows, file-based delivery, frame rates, and aspect ratios.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work a 24x7 shift, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
• Experience with Dalet Galaxy editing software.
• Strong news editorial judgment and ability to contribute to story building.
