TL;DR
Senior Private Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead (Personal Strategy): Serving as the lead advisor for a dedicated book of high-net-worth clients, delivering proactive, tailored wealth management and holistic financial planning with an accent on investment strategy explanation, relationship management, and retaining/growing assets. Focus on coordinating complex client needs, presenting and reviewing portfolios aligned to risk tolerance, and setting the client-practice tone through coaching and delegation.
Location: Remote/Hybrid in Northern California (must reside within territory; ideal candidate lives in the Santa Cruz area and meets clients in person as needed)
Base Salary Range: $125,400.00 - $181,875.00

What you will do
- Lead a dedicated client practice team (with a Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist) and manage relationships for a book of high-net-worth clients.
- Deliver onboarding, financial planning, and investor education through proactive and reactive client engagement via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Retain assets under management and grow additional assets through education, communication, and consistent responsiveness.
- Explain and implement the “Personal Strategy” investment approach; recommend, review, and discuss portfolios, markets, and economic topics.
- Provide holistic financial planning (retirement, income optimization, tax-advantaged savings, education planning) and coordinate with Financial Planning Specialists on complex plans.
- Coordinate client requests across internal departments and delegate/coach/train colleagues and resources.
Requirements
- Residency/territory: Must reside within the required territory; ideal candidate lives in the Santa Cruz area and can meet clients face-to-face as needed.
- 10+ years of related experience in financial services and client experience.
- Proven success with high-net-worth clients, complex planning, NPS, and client retention.
- Advanced knowledge of wealth management strategies, financial planning, tax and income optimization, and estate planning.
- FINRA Series 65 required; FINRA fingerprinting required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks and present investment portfolios to clients.
