What you will do

• Build and grow a new book of business centered on MPL and additional lines as they open.
• Review and underwrite complex Professional Liability risks, including soliciting/analyzing risk and ensuring proper documentation.
• Develop pricing and risk strategies; propose and negotiate price, coverage, and policy terms, including account rounding opportunities.
• Execute marketing plans to increase market share with preferred brokers, including new business and retention goals.
• Manage and grow the core broker base and GWP while ensuring world-class broker service.
• Collaborate with cyber analytics, product, marketing, and technology/data teams to improve underwriting tools and processes.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience underwriting MPL/professional liability insurance.
• Solid knowledge of specialty commercial underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices.
• Strong technology affinity and ability to work with advanced analytics software.
• Clear, concise communication style and comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic tech environment.
• Location: Preference for candidates who can work a hybrid schedule in the NYC office.

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year (Underwriter); $110,000–$145,000 per year (Senior Underwriter)
